Perception I–IV

Perception I–IV is part of a body of work that revisits my personal experience with the full loss of memory and partial loss of my senses after a prolonged coma. Informed by the work of the late neurologist Oliver Sacks, including an encounter with him, this project explores the dialogue between memory and human perception. Juxtaposing the moving images with both sound and silence, Perception I–IV engages with the natural world to reflect on the processes of decay and rebirth.
