Thinking inside the box

Since the beginning of 2020, my mind has experienced excitement, happiness, and stress, all the way to complete uncertainty. Living through a pandemic was not what I was expecting when I left the Dominican Republic to come to New York City to study photography.

Stuck in my apartment for most of the time due to COVID-19, every aspect of my life, from the tiniest little domestic chore to the most important Zoom call, has posed logistical problems. I have had to repurpose rooms, define new areas, and, most important, make do with what I have.

This immersive experience looks into how mundane tasks and events have been transformed due to confinement during the pandemic. For this, I am inviting you into my apartment-turned-studio.
