My son David is twenty-six years old and severely autistic. This
work attempts to see the world through his eyes: his daily struggles, everyday
routines, and the repetitions that help to keep him grounded and feeling safe.
In the time of COVID-19, when we all are struggling with forced isolation, my
hope is that these images bring awareness to the life of the autistic and the
developmentally disabled, who have been socially distanced their entire lives.
