Mathew Dalton
Letters to You and Nobody At All
In
this book with text and photographs, I project a romantic relationship onto the
room in which I live. In this relationship, I am dependent: I need to live here,
but the room doesn’t need me at all. The book is divided into three chapters,
each representing a different stage of our intimate relationship, from welcoming
each other, to complacency, to the end. Just as the room will unapologetically move
on afterward, I, too, will move on—to other people, or rooms, while not
forgetting.
